Most top notch hike in SEKI?

The hike the tail photograph belongs to is possibly one of the most top-notch trails in Sequoia National Park.

Strong controversial statement? Maybe.

But it’s true.

Why?

Because the name alone sounds really cool.

Here, give it a try: Toe-Kuh-Pah.

Neat, right?!

This stunning 3.4 mile out and back trail will feel like a dream that you’ll want to go back to again and again and again and ag… you get the point. FORTUNATELY  for us, this beautiful trail is located near the Lodgepole market where you’ll find lots of neat stuff and food to refuel and chill out.

The hike itself takes about two hours — unless you decide to linger by the mesmerizing 1,200-foot waterfall at the end. And you will. You should. The sight can feel spiritually cleansing, like nature hitting the reset button on your soul.

As you go, the changing terrain, sounds, and views — from mountain ridges to rushing rivers — make every step its own reward. So go on, destroy that wall of fear!  Don’t hesitate. Thanks to the trail’s mild intensity and short duration, you’ll still have plenty of time to visit Sequoia’s icons like General Sherman, Moro Rock, or Crystal Cave.

AAANNNDDDD

if you time it right, (depending on the season), you might just catch one of THE best sunsets in the states right by the park’s museum.

Toe-Kuh-Pah.
