El Mensaje:

‘Todo Estará Bien' is a message to the raza, to myself, and to everyone out there that no matter what happens, everything will workout at the end. Truth be told, the idea sprouted from self doubt, insecurity, and fear. In the most immediate circumstances: immigration raids, ongoing wars, and a clear more pronounced division of people in the states. On a more personal note, I’ve always been an insecure, fearful bean… never really fully believed in myself and my potential. That being said, when facing tough times, I unconsciously look for signs to encourage me and to keep me going. The intention of this shirt is exactly that - to spread hope, optimism, and grit, not only to those wearing it, but also to any bystander who might be going through tough mental, emotional, and physical battles. The design depicts a vaquero/vaquera reaching the top of a tall mountain, overcoming harsh life obstacles and ultimately achieving his/her goal.

Beyond The Fog

“There are times when I don’t see my worth. When my self-esteem feels heavy, like a sinking ship halfway to the ocean floor. Little fires still burn on board, screaming as they slowly go out. The fires being my drive, my feistiness, my ego, my dreams. In those moments, I don’t want to sink slowly. I want a quick way into the deep, deep, unknown.

But it isn’t always that way. Sometimes I just feel lazy, weak, and sorry for myself after wasting a morning or an afternoon doing nothing. Sometimes I look in the mirror and think I’m the ugliest motherfucker on earth. I immediately fixate on everything I don’t like about my body. I see myself as a blob of Play-Doh that was thrown at high speed, tumbled through rough uneven grounds, and suddenly came to a stop.”

Created for mental health and suicide awareness, this shirt’s design brings a message I hope reaches someone who needs it:

“You deserve support, even when you can’t see what comes next.”

Those are some visual examples of what my mental state feels like at times. Often, when I feel this way, I tend drive to Sequoia National Park. Simply being in nature or hiking helps. Over time, one of my favorite trails, the Tokopah Falls trail became a kind of healing ritual for me. The photograph on this shirt was taken during one of those visits.

Created for mental health and suicide awareness, this shirt’s design carries a reminder from that day: the mountain disappears into the fog, but it doesn’t end there. Neither do we.

The semicolon on the front is symbol of hope, survival, and the continuation of a story. It’s a quiet expression of solidarity with those living with depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, self-harm, or thoughts of suicide.

This shirt brings together a place that helped me and a message I hope reaches someone who needs it.

You deserve support,

even when you can’t see what comes next.
